VINTAGE & RESTORED FURNITURE — All Sales Final

All vintage, restored, or refinished pieces are final sale.
Each item is one-of-a-kind and may carry natural characteristics consistent with age and history.

However, your satisfaction matters to us.
To ensure long-term enjoyment of your piece, 1 OAK Modern offers up to 2–3 touch-ups (minor refinishing, hardware tightening, colour correction) within 12 months of purchase at no additional cost.

Touch-ups apply to normal wear, not damage caused by misuse or environmental exposure.

CUSTOM BUILD ORDERS

Custom builds are made specifically for you and therefore are non-refundable.

We do offer:

• Repair or replacement for fundamental structural issues

If a custom piece arrives with structural defects (drawer function, stability, joints, doors, installation alignment), 1 OAK Modern will repair or replace the affected component at no cost within the first year.

• Minor adjustments within reason

Small refinements — such as leveling, hardware adjustments, or door/drawer tension — are offered complimentary within 6 months.

CANCELLATIONS

  • Custom orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase.

  • After fabrication begins, cancellations are no longer available.

SHIPPING DAMAGE

If a piece arrives damaged during transport, please notify us within 48 hours with photos.
We will repair, replace, or file a carrier claim depending on the extent of damage.

Vintage wood + custom finishes will vary slightly from photos due to lighting, wood grain, and monitor display.

2. “Fit & Measurement Responsibility” Clause

Customers are responsible for confirming that pieces fit through hallways, staircases, elevators, and final placement area.

3. A Short “Care Guide” (Highly beneficial)

Helps reduce unnecessary touch-up requests.
Example:

  • Use coasters

  • Avoid direct heat and prolonged moisture

  • Clean with a damp cloth, no harsh chemicals

4. “Touch-Up Limits” Clarification

Touch-ups cover finish wear, not:

  • water damage

  • pet damage

  • deep scratches

  • negligence
